Floppy Clarification

The first edition of Boeing B 314 - The Clipper does contain a CD, a floppy with three patches and a leaflet with installation instructions for these floppy patches. The installation of these patches is NOT NECESSARY, WHEN YOU REGISTER, DOWNLOAD SP1 AND INSTALL IT BEFORE YOU FIRST RUN B314 in FS2002.

Before we release a product, it is extensively tested on various systems configurations. Only a product which is 100% errorfree on the testing systems goes into production. It is however obvious, that it can't be tested on all possible configurations. Therfore developement and testing does not stop after a product has gone into duplication. Sometimes additional improvements and amendments are advisable or even necessary. They are then made available to the general public via means of download. You have then to get these files yourself and install them according to instructions in a readme file.

We here at PILOT'S are dedicated to customer service. And customer service we did by including a floppy at our expense which saves you time and money!

You do NOT have to download! You have it right away! People with no internet access profit most! They would have no possibility to get these files at all!

Where else can you find that?

Unfortunately very few of our customers did not understand and yelled at us in a very cruel manner.

Here is a scheme, which helps you to determine, which problem might arise and which patch you then really need.

When loading The Clipper in FS, a sign comes up saying "B314 was not properly installed". Reinstall B314 from the CD and before starting FS run PILOTS_B314_GAUpat1.exe as described in the leaflet.

No sound when running the adventures. Copy PILOTS_B314_WAVpat1.exe to your \fs dir and run it from there.

Oilpressurelight does not come off. Run PILOTS_B314_ACpat1.exe as described in the leaflet.
